DX51D SGCC Coating Cold Rolled Galvanized Steel Coil Description
Galvanized coil: a thin steel sheet that immerses the steel sheet into the molten zinc bath to make its surface adhere with a layer of zinc. It is mainly produced by continuous galvanizing process, that is, the rolled steel plate is continuously immersed in the zinc melting bath to make galvanized steel plate; Alloyed galvanized steel sheet is also made by hot dip method, but it is heated to about 500 ºC immediately after coming out of the groove to form an alloy coating of zinc and iron. The galvanized coil has good coating adhesion and weldability.
Galvanized steel is defined as a carbon steel sheet coated with zinc on both sides. There are two main processes used to produce galvanized steel: continuous hot dipping and electro-galvanizing.
Galvanized Steel Coil Types
Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Coil: immersing the cleaned iron sheet into the molten zinc bath at about 500 degrees to form a zinc layer. The entire steel surface is uniformly covered with a zinc layer, even the corners, hollows, etc. so that the steel sheet is fully protected. The cost of hot-dip galvanizing is cheap.
Electro-galvanized Steel Coil: a process of applying a layer of zinc to steel through electroplating, with a saline anode and steel conductor. It is able to enhance the corrosion and heat resistance of steel. Also, it makes steel sheets more good-looking.
